Grape Variety: 100% Montepulcian

This is a very special wine as it is the first vintage  of this 100% Montepulciano, which is cultivated in the Teramane hills near the Adriatic coast. The vines from where they get the grapes are around 20yrs old. The harvest usually takes place around the second week in October, where the must and the skins are left to ferment for a period of 40Days giving the wine its intense deep colour. The wine is then matured in stainless steel containers for 8 months followed by 36 months in large 50hl barrels and finishing with 12 months in the bottle. This results in a very elegant full-bodied wine, which involves you from the moment you open the bottle to the last drop.

We recommend it with: cold cuts, aged cheeses, stews, braised meats and lots of barbecues.
