The Langhe Chardonnay “Bussia” by Barale Fratelli is a rare and prestigious white wine born in the heart of one of the most famous crus in the world: the Bussia vineyard in Monforte d’Alba. While this hill is legendary for Barolo, Barale Fratelli uses its unique calcareous-clay soils to produce a Chardonnay of extraordinary mineral depth, structure, and longevity.
Appearance: Brilliant straw yellow with golden reflections that will intensify with age.
Aroma: A sophisticated and wide-ranging bouquet. Initial notes of white peach, citrus peel, and hawthorn evolve into complex scents of toasted hazelnut, vanilla, and a distinct flinty minerality.
Palate: Rich, creamy, and remarkably balanced. The initial buttery softness is refreshed by a vibrant acidity and a savory, saline finish. A true “Burgundian” soul with a Piedmontese heart.
