Carlotto Lagrein Riserva 2021

Carlotto Lagrein Riserva 2021, “di ora in ora” is a wine obtained from Lagrein grapes that ripen in Ora, on alluvial soil of the Rio Nero. Being a medium-late ripening variety, it requires warm areas but what makes the difference is the soil. The alluvial nature rich in skeleton, means that during the ripening period (end of September – beginning of October) the rains do not cool the soil too much, which certainly happens in more compact, colder soils such as clayey or silty ones even if located in warmer areas. Historic vine of Alto Adige gives rise to a wine with a characteristic blackberry on the nose while in the mouth, a rich tannin, requires a targeted vinification for the extraction of only the fine part. A wine whose strong point is freshness.
