Il Macchione Rosso Di Montepulciano Doc 2022

Il Macchione rosso di Montepulciano is made with 100% Sangiovese, no chemicals or herbicides are used. The vinification is spontaneous, using a ‘pied de cuve’ to kick the wild fermentation off, with 15/20 days on the skins, the wine is then matured for 10 months in tonneau before passing to barriques. Very limited production of only 4600 bottles. This is a full bodied Tuscan wine, with that powerful sangiovese aroma that envelops you in its origins, in the glass it is a dark ruby red, great aroma of red fruits on the nose with a long fruity finish.
