Miltonduff started its activity in 1824 – although it was probably illegally distilled in the same area already in the early nineteenth century – and at the end of the century the distillery is one of the largest in Scotland with over 1 million liters of alcohol produced in a year . Today the distillery is able to produce almost 6 million liters of alcohol thanks to its 6 stills (3 wash stills and 3 spirit stills).

Miltonduff 10 Years Old is a single malt Scotch whiskey belonging to the Discovery series that is aged for 10 years in only European oak barrels that previously contained sherry. The purple color of the packaging identifies the sherry aging of the series, of which this is the first release.
