Tripel Karmeliet is a classic of Belgian beers. According to the brewery, the recipe used has been the same since 1679. At the time, the Karmeliet was brewed in the Carmelite monastery in Dendermonde. It is a top-fermented beer refermented in the bottle that already at the time had the particularity of being produced with three cereals: barley, wheat and oats. It is from its ingredients that it takes its name. This Belgian beer has a golden color and a creamy head. The nose is refined and complex. Thus we find notes of vanilla and banana and yeast mixed with citrus aromas of Styrian hops. In the mouth persist various types of cereals that are associated with the hoppy notes of Styrian. Both dry and creamy texture make this Triple Karmeliet delightfully balanced. In order for it to best develop its aromatic complexity.
